Post Tour-dem Depression
The tour was so fun, we did NOT want to come home! Thanks so much to everyone who helped us book the shows, played with us, fed us, and let us crash with them. We'll be posting pictures of our adventures shortly. And Frank and I wanna try to put together a podcast featuring all the amazing bands we shared the stage with while we were out West... more info on that to come!

We Didn't Wanna Come Home!
Man, our ten day tour with The Steinways was amazing! We owe heaps and heaps of thanks to everyone who came out to the shows, to all the bands we played with, to everyone we crashed with.... and, of course, to Zack Rivethead who filled in on lead guitar for us (and sang some killer backups while he was at it!). We really had such a blast; it was by far the best tour we've been on so far, and it made us really excited to hit the road again in the summer.
If you want an idea of how much fun our shows were, check out this footage that Grath from the Steinways shot at our Kentucky show (opening for the Queers!). The sound's not great, but it's worth checking out (if for no other reason than just to see the mom who stage dives during our first song). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjEiKIWJXlg

There are limited copies available, and they will probably sell out before the official release date, so if you wanna get your paws on one, you gotta act fast. You can pre-order a copy from Art of the Underground at: www.mikeliterman.com/clients/aotu/releases.php

The tour in April will be with our buddies the Steinways. We'll be posting details about the shows soon, so check back to see if we'll be coming to your town!

The Year of the Unlovables
Happy 2007! We just finished recording two tracks (with recording guru Chris Pierce) for the Crafty Records release that we're gonna be on. It's called the "NY vs NJ Punk Rock Battle Royal" compilation, and it's gonna be awesome! The cd will have 4 New Jersey bands and 4 New York bands, two songs each. The Ergs, For Science, The Steinways, Groucho Marxists, and Lemuria are all gonna be on this thing, so we're in great company.
So between the new full-length, our single on Art of the Underground, and the Crafty comp, we've recorded 17 NEW SONGS, all of which should be out in the first half of this year. It's been a blast getting to finally lay down all these songs that we've been playing live for so long, and we are so excited for everything to be released so everyone can have copies of their own :)
We'll be posting some of the new stuff soon, so stay tuned!

November News
We've got brand new t-shirts! They can be ordered with PayPal on our Merch page.
In other news, the Unlovables are featured on a new totally online/downloadable compilation called Bubblegum Attack World Compilation. It features 12 bands from 8 countries, the best pop-punk has to offer, including The Spazzys, The Manges, The McRackins and more. And it's FREE! To download all or part of the comp, go to http://www.bubblegumattack.com.
And we're almost done recording 2 songs for the single we're putting out as part of the Art of the Underground Single Series. The series is soooo cool.... like the old concept of a single with an A Side and a B Side. To find out more about the series, check out the Art of the Underground site. http://www.mikeliterman.com/clients/aotu/index.php. Lots of great bands either already have singles out, or are putting them out soon: Off With Their Heads, The Ergs, Lemuria, The Modern Machines. Neat-o!

"Fall Forward"
We had our first day of recording today at Headgear Recording in Williamsburg. When all of this is done we will hopefully have 15 new Unlovables songs for everybody to rock out to (or jump up and down on their beds to, or whatever). We're really excited and can't wait to have this stuff done so everyone can hear it!!
AND we've got great shows coming up with touring bands like Lemuria and The Riot Before... details will be posted on the website soon. In the meantime, check out those bands so you can sing along when they come to town. And we especially want to encourage everybody to come out to Carlapalooza on September 30th. It's gonna be a fantastic show, and all the proceeds go to the MS Society. Come out if you can!

Dude!!
We played a secret show with Lifetime at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick over the weekend. This was a show that we would've been ecstatic just to attend--the fact that we got to play at it made it even better. In other news: yes, that was the Unlovables you heard when you were getting your weekly fix of MTV's "My Super Sweet 16" last week. The show used clips of "Today's The Day" and "Doot da Doot", which gave us an excuse to finally check out this brats-gone-wild series. Hilarious!

What's up with The Unlovables?
The whole new album is written, and we're just trying to figure make a decision about where to record this sh*t! Haha. We are really excited to get the new songs out! In the meantime, we've been asked to contribute a song to the Queers tribute cd that's coming out. We won't give away what song we're covering, but it's gonna rule! We've also added a buncha new shows, both at home and out of town, so check it out, punks :)

New Year, New News!
The Unlovables are going into the studio next week to record a song for the new Apers tribute cd that's coming out for their 10 year anniversary. We're big Apers fans, so recording this tune is gonna be a lot of fun for us. Also, pick up the new issue of Razorcake when it comes out, cuz there's a great article on the Unlovables in there!

FESTivities
We had an amazing time down in Florida playing and hanging out at The Fest. Anyone who didn't head down there this time should start making their plans for next year!! It's like taking a vacation with hundreds of your friends and all your favorite bands.
We're taking December off from playing shows so we can work on finishing the songs for the NEW ALBUM which we hope to record real soon! But, no worries, we'll be back at the beginning of January for a fantastic show with the Queers. What better way to kick off '06?

Back for the Attack!
We made it home from tour in one piece! We had a great time while we were on the road, and we wanna send out all our love and gratitude to everyone who made all the shows so fun... from the fans who came out to support us, to the fantastic bands who played with us. We can't wait to hit the road again. Yay!
We are so psyched that we'll be heading down to The Fest in Gainesville, FL in November. There are so many amazing bands playing this 3 day festival, that we couldn't begin to list them all here. Go to www.thefestfl.com for all the juicy details.
In other news: We're almost entirely sold out of the first pressing of "Crush*Boyfriend*Heartbreak"! We got the 2nd pressing shipped to us while we were on the road, and the new cd's look great (with a brand new photo on the back, ooh la la). Also, look for upcoming articles about the Unlovables in the following zines: Razorcake, Nuthin', and Celebrity Pets!

The Website Is Back Up!
We wanna thank our friend Rich Grech a million times for giving us a hand with it. We've got great shows coming up with so many of our favorite bands... Chixdiggit, The Groove Ghoulies, Darlington, The Dollyrots, The Kung Fu Monkeys, Teenage Bottlerocket... It's shaping up to be an amazing summer.
The other big news this month is that all the songs from our full-length are now available through the I-Tunes Music Store. The Unlovables have finally stepped into the modern age!
May 2005
We?e got big plans in the works...
...like for a fall tour and a new album. Of course, we need to find a new lead guitarist in the meantime, since we just lost Mat, boohoo. The good news is that Christian "Hot Licks" Stefos has offered to help us out for now. Chris was in the origional Unlovables lineup, and we are always thrilled when we get to have him back in the band for a while. Someone pointed out to us the other day that The Unlovables are to lead guitarists what Spinal Tap was to drummers, hahaha.
March 2005
The Unlovables have a track on the new pop-punk comp "AMP Volume 4".
The comp features bands like The Queers, MTX, The Travoltas, The Methadones, and more! Needless to say, we are honored to be in such great company. Check it out--there's lots of great bands and lots of great tunes on there!
February 2005
As of this month, because of distribution changes,
it should be a lot easier to find our record now. We had the giddy excitement of seeing our CD on the shelves at major music chains for the first time... It's also available now through Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, etc. Of course, we still encourage everybody to support the little guys: www.whoaohrecords.com and www.interpunk.com.
It was also pretty great to see the album appear on so many critics' "Best of 2004" lists (see our Press page). We're blushing!
